Fort Wayne Famous
When we first moved to Fort Wayne, we were obsessed with the small-stakes system of celebrity that exists here. It seemed random, fickle, and fleeting. We wanted to break it.
Fort Wayne Famous launched as a semi-anonymous campaign to find someone worthy of being Fort Wayne Famous. The first (and only) Fort Wayne Famous Fellow was Dirk Walker, a comedian and friend of ours who had a podcast to promote.
We threw an unsanctioned press conference in front of the courthouse, we helped Dirk protest big oil, and we created our favorite souvenir 8x10 of all time.
